 STEPS TO BECOME A REAL ESTATE SALESPERSON

1) SIGN UP FOR RES

  • All applicants are required to sign up for the Real Estate Salesperson Course (RES) before applying for the exams. More details can be found here.

 

  • Applicants must possess the followings:

​

  1. Must be Singaporean of PR

  2. Minimum requirement of 21 years old

  3. Must possess minimum 4 'O' Level Passes

  4. Must not be a undischarged bankrupt

  5. Must not be convicted for breach or trust

​

2) RES EXAM PAPERS

  • Registration of the RES Examinations can be done with your course provider.

​

  • There will be 2 papers for the exams. All applicants are required to pass both papers.

​

  • You need to retake either papers should you only pass 1 of the 2.

​

  • Results will be notified via online login.

​

3) REGISTER WITH ERA

  • CONGRATULATIONS! You  are required to pick up your CEA Certificate and bring it over to any of the ERA offices.

​

  • ​Registration takes between 4-6 weeks. Meanwhile, all new Salespersons are required to attend ERA Acceleration Course, a.k.a On-Job-Training. You can do so while awaiting for the approval.

   STEPS FOR EXISTING REAL ESTATE SALESPERSON   

1) APPLY TO CEA

  • Existing Salesperson who wish to transfer over to ERA has to submit their IPA ( in-principle approval) to CEA.

​

  • ​This can be done at any of the ERA offices.

​

  • The approval will take anytime between 4 to 6 weeks.

​

  • Kindly refer to the table (below) for the reimbursement ERA provides.

2) RESIGNATION

  • With the approval of IPA, the Salesperson is then required to tender his/ her resignation at the current agency.

​

  • There are certain agencies which require the Salesperson to go through an exit-clearance. Some of which, may take a while. Therefore, it is advisable to do so as soon as IPA has been granted to them.

3) WELCOME TO ERA

  • You have successfully moved over to ERA.

 

  • You are ready to kickstart your fresh new career at the agency of choice!

  • ​Be sure to check out the criteria for promotion with your newly acquainted Division Director. CONGRATULATIONS!

​

  • Or embark in team building as one of ERA's finest Division Director!

For Joining Salespersons – *Full/Partial Refund of 2018 Joining Fee

*Scheme A : Active Salespersons with $10,000 - $20,000 GBC, with income proof, in the last 12 months

  •   Pay first : $230 (2018 Salesperson Reg Fee) + $53.50 (Admin Fee) + $180 (2018 ERA Work Kit) = $463.50.

  •   Reimburse $283.50.

  •   Effectively salespersons pay $180.

      *Scheme B : Active Salespersons with more than $20,001 GBC, with income proof, in the last 12 months

​

  •   Pay first : $230 (2018 Salesperson Reg Fee) + $53.50 (Admin Fee) + $180 (2018 ERA Work Kit) = $463.50.

  •   Reimburse $463.50.

  •   Effectively salespersons pay $0.

 

   ​

      *Scheme C : New &/or Active Salespersons with less than $10,000 GBC

​

  •   Pay first : $230 (2018 Salesperson Reg Fee) + $53.50 (Admin Fee) + $180 (2018 ERA Work Kit) = $463.50.

  •   Apply for reimbursement $283.50, after achieving $10,000 - $20,000 GBC in ERA within 12 months from joining date (CEA Approval Date).

  •   Apply for reimbursement $463.50, after achieving above $20,001 GBC in ERA within 12 months from joining date (CEA Approval Date).
